1980 - 1994

1981 - Launched PACT (Parents and Children Together).

1984 - Ended the adoption program.

1985 - Started Building Tomorrow program, with training opportunities, resource library, and telephone support line for child care providers and parents.

1986 - Purchased first computer to assist with financial record keeping.

1989 - Founded Welcome Baby to offer education, support and encouragement to first time parents.

Adopted Project HELP to provide companionship to frail, isolated homebound elderly.

PACT was one of 16 programs nationally to receive the Example of Excellence from the American Association for Protecting Children.

1991 - Moved administrative offices and several programs to leased space at 501 South 7th Street.

Received recognition from Family Service America for 100 years of service to families.

Discontinued Open Door Health Advocacy Services in light of similar community services.

1992 - Transferred the Medical Transportation program to Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital.

1993 - Held first major fundraising event - The Whodunit Mystery Evening.

Transferred Project HELP to Retired Senior Volunteer Program.

Received KFOR Radio/First Federal Lincoln Community Service Award in recognition of "continuous service to children and families since 1891."

1994 - Opened Downtown Infant and Toddler Care Center.

Initiated FAST program in collaboration with Lincoln Public Schools and Lincoln Council on Alcoholism and Drugs.

Achieved re-accreditation from the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children, Inc.

Started Club Tween, for children 10-12 years old.
