Early Learning Guidelines

Mathematics, Science, Language and Literacy Development, Health and Physical Development, Approaches to Learning, Social and Emotional Development, Creative Arts

The Early Learning Guidelines provide a framework to guide decisions about planning developmentally appropriate activities for young children, They are based on research and evidence about child development and practices that result in the best outcomes for young children in school and life. These workshops meet State Licensing Requirements.

One module is presented as an in-person training each quarter. The training takes place over two evenings. Cost is $30.

Safe With You

  • Safe Sleep for Infants – Understanding and reducing the risk of Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID)
  • Abusive Head Trauma – Understanding and preventing Abusive Head Trauma (AHT) in Children
  • Power to Protect – Preventing Child Abuse and Neglect

The Safe With You series is for child care providers and meets State Licensing Requirements.

These modules are presented as in person trainings several times a year. Cost for all three modules is $20.

Pediatric CPR First Aid

This is a blended training course! Blended learning combines training of concepts and knowledge with face to face skills session in which hands-on practice is done in front of an authorized instructor. Students complete the online training prior to the skills practice session. This certification is valid for 2 years.

This training is offered monthly. The cost is $55.
